Terms of use

1. In short

Najdimo helps lost animals get home again. Everything that brings animals home is free for everyone and will stay that way. To do that we need a few rules.

• Post only genuine reports of dogs and cats.
• Never send money in advance. Collect an animal in a public place.
• Match suggestions and AI suggestions can be wrong. We do not promise that you will find your animal.
• We may hide or remove reports that break the rules.
• Paid options are never required and never limit the search.

2. What Najdimo is

Najdimo is a website and mobile app for posting and searching for lost, found and sighted dogs and cats in Slovenia. The service is operated by the company SIGNAPPS, grafična in digitalna agencija, d.o.o., Kolomban 34B, 6280 Ankaran – Ancarano, Slovenia ("we"). "Najdimo" is the working name of the service.

Our purpose is to get animals home. Money only keeps the service running. These are free for everyone, forever:

• reporting a lost, found or sighted animal;
• the map and alerts;
• matching (chip number, photo, attributes);
• chat;
• the printable PDF poster with a QR code, and sharing;
• chip lookup.

Paid options (Boost, Premium Protect, Podpornik, ads and Vet Partner) never limit these.

What we do not promise. We cannot guarantee that you will find your animal or that a report will reach a certain number of people. Match suggestions and attributes suggested by artificial intelligence can be wrong. Always judge for yourself and check them before you publish.

3. Who may use Najdimo

Anyone can browse. You can create an account if you are at least 15 years old. Paid options are intended for adults. If you accept these terms for an organisation (a shelter, clinic or municipality), you confirm that you may act for it.

4. Accounts and reports without an account

Account. The information you enter must be correct. Keep your password and access safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you suspect misuse, tell us at once. You can delete your account at any time in the settings.

Reports without an account. You can report a found or sighted animal without an account. You receive a private link that you use to manage the report and to chat. Save the link and do not share it. We store only a hash of it, so we cannot restore it unless you entered an email address to which we sent it. Anyone who has the link can manage the report.

5. Content rules

These rules apply to everything you post (photos, descriptions, messages).

Allowed:

• a genuine report of a lost, found or sighted dog or cat;
• your own photos, or photos you have the right to use.

Not allowed:

• false, misleading or duplicate reports;
• reports about other species or other things;
• ads for selling, breeding, giving away, or adoption for a fee;

• personal data of other people (names, addresses, phone numbers, photos of recognisable people) in free text and in photos;

• offensive, threatening, discriminatory or unlawful content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• collecting money or data under false pretences;
• automated data collection, disrupting the service or bypassing limits and safeguards.

Do not publish exact locations, chip numbers, phone numbers or email addresses in the description.

6. Safety and scams

• Never send money in advance. A genuine finder does not ask for money in advance.
• Collect or hand over an animal in a public place, in daylight, with someone you trust.
• Never share a code you receive by text message.
• Najdimo never asks you for a payment in a chat.
• Report suspicious behaviour with "Report abuse" or at [email protected].

Reward. In a report of a lost animal, the owner may state that they offer a reward, with an amount or a short note. The line may not contain contact details or ask for any payment in advance; we remove such lines. This is the owner's statement, not ours. Najdimo does not hold, pay or guarantee rewards. The owner and the finder arrange any reward between themselves, outside Najdimo. Never pay anyone anything in advance: a reward is handed over only once the animal is home.

7. Finders

Najdimo does not state the legal obligations of finders. The duties of a person who finds an animal are set by the applicable law, for example informing the municipality or a shelter. Follow the law and, if in doubt, contact the municipality, a shelter or a vet. [client/legal: Q-006 – confirm the rules on found animals and holding periods.]

8. Moderation and enforcement

We may review reports and messages when someone reports them as abuse or when safety requires it. If a report or an account breaks the rules, we may:

• hide or remove the report;
• warn you;
• suspend the account temporarily;
• ban the account permanently.

If three independent people report the same listing for abuse, we hide it automatically and temporarily until a moderator reviews it. The moderator then decides whether to restore or remove it. If you think a decision was wrong, write to [email protected]. A person will review the decision again.

9. Shelters, vets and municipalities

Shelters and municipalities use everything for free, forever: the portal, bulk (CSV) upload, matching, the API, analytics, the adoption page and municipality reports. Vets report found animals, look up chips and use matches and chat for free. Only Vet Partner is paid (chapter 10).

• We verify organisations before they receive a "verified" badge.

• An organisation is responsible for the accuracy of its data and for the lawfulness of its own processing of data outside Najdimo.

• Holding periods that a shelter sets are reminders only. Najdimo gives no legal advice and does not replace a shelter's legal duties.

10. Paid options and contributions

Current status. Payments are in test mode only for now. No real money moves. The descriptions below apply once each option becomes available.

Contribution. A contribution is a voluntary payment to a company to help run the service. It is not a donation. The minimum is €2. You receive no feature in return. A paid contribution is not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

Boost, Premium Protect, Podpornik. Paid options that widen a report's reach, add protection or support the service. Prices, duration and how to cancel are shown before purchase. You can cancel subscriptions. [client/legal: check the consumer right of withdrawal (14 days) and the exception for a digital service that starts at once, and the wording shown before payment.]

Vet Partner (business customers). A monthly subscription for vet clinics. It includes a verified clinic profile, featured placement in the "nearest vet" ad slots in their area, a mention in alerts and on posters for the region (always labelled "Ad"), and a monthly report with aggregate figures. We issue VAT invoices through Stripe Billing. You can cancel monthly. Separate terms for business customers apply at order. Vet Partner never requires a vet to pay for anything that brings animals home.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited. We never see your card details.

11. Ads

Ads and Vet Partner placements are always labelled "Ad". There are no ads in the report-lost and report-found flows, at sign-in, in chat or at payment. We are not responsible for advertisers' offers. The advertiser sets the terms of its offer.

12. Your content and our licence

The content stays yours. To run the service, you allow us to store it, process it and show it to others as described in the privacy policy, free of charge, and to use it for matching, the poster and sharing. The licence lasts while the content stays in Najdimo and goes no further than the service needs. We publish success stories only with your explicit consent.

You warrant that you have the right to the content you post.

13. Our rights

Najdimo, the name, logo, design and software belong to Signapps or its licensors. We create the illustrations ourselves. You may use the service only under these terms. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or sell it.

14. Availability, changes and termination

We provide the service "as is" and try to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, add or remove features. You can delete your account at any time. We may close or restrict it for breaking the rules or the law.

15. Limitation of liability

We limit our liability as far as the law allows. We are not liable for:

• meetings, agreements or transactions between users, including rewards that owners offer;
• content posted by users, or advertisers' offers;
• wrong match or AI suggestions;
• disruption caused by third-party providers or force majeure.

We do not exclude liability for intent or gross negligence, for personal injury, or for anything the law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change the terms. We tell you about important changes in advance in the app, on the website or by email. If you keep using the service after they take effect, you accept the change. If you do not, you can delete your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

Slovenian law applies. Your consumer rights under mandatory rules of the country where you live are preserved. If there is a dispute, we would first like to talk: write to [email protected].

Consumers can also resolve a dispute out of court with an out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider. [client/legal: name the provider under ZIsRPS, with its name and website, and state whether we commit to take part.]
